In partnership with other like-minded organizations, the Anglers for Conservation is celebrating Earth Day by coordinating Fish Earth Day events throughout Florida using the Anglers for Conservation’s Hook Kids on Fishing Program. Is there any better way to celebrate Earth Day 2013 than bringing families together fishing and learning about the our planet Earth? Hook Kids on Fishing programs will take place in Key West, Apopka, Fort Pierce, Hobe Sound, Merritt Island, Orlando, Port Canaveral, Palm Bay, Port Canaveral, Punta Gorda, Satellite Beach, Sebastian, St. Marks, Tarpon Springs, Titusville and Winter Haven.
Kids ages 6 to 16, are welcome along with their parents. A
free rod and reel will be given to the first 80 kids at each even,
however registration is mandatory for each event. Get dates.

The State of Florida is conducting a study to better estimate the numbers of red snapper that are harvested and the condition of red snapper that are released by recreational anglers. This information is needed to determine the health of the red snapper stock in the Gulf of Mexico and evaluate the effectiveness of current fishing regulations.
Please help by taking this data sheet with you the next time you go fishing. Fill out the requested data for every red snapper you harvest or release. Click here to get a catch card.
